Privacy policy

This website uses no advertising networks and no cross-site tracking. What is processed is what a web server necessarily records when a page is requested — plus two services that load only after you have explicitly agreed: analytics and the price chart.

1. Controller

No data protection officer has been appointed; the thresholds of §38 BDSG are not met.

2. Visiting the site (server log files)

Each time a page is requested, the server automatically records the data your browser transmits and which is technically necessary to deliver the page:

• the IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of the request
• the address requested and the volume of data transferred
• whether the request succeeded
• browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page where your browser transmits it

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in operating the site without faults and in defending the server against attacks. This data is not combined with any other source, and it is not evaluated for marketing or analytics purposes.

Retention: log files are deleted or truncated after 14 days at the latest. They are kept longer only where a specific incident requires investigation; the records concerned are then retained until that investigation is complete.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The provider processes the data described in section 2 on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Server location: the server currently used is located in the Hillsboro, Oregon (USA) data centre. This constitutes a transfer to a third country. The transfer is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, together with the provider's technical and organisational measures. We note that United States authorities may under certain conditions demand access to data under domestic law, and that legal protection comparable to that available under European law may not exist against such access.

4. Analytics with Google Analytics — only with your consent

We measure how this website is used with Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This happens only where you have consented beforehand. Without your consent no Google script is loaded, no cookie is set, and no connection to Google is made at all.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR together with §25(1) TDDDG. You give it through the notice shown on your first visit. Declining is presented with equal weight and is remembered in the same way — anyone who declines is not asked again.

Where consent is given, the following cookies are set:

The data processed includes the pages requested, the time and duration of the visit, an approximate location derived from the truncated IP address, the device and operating system used, and the previously visited page. The IP address is truncated and not stored in full. We do not combine this data with any other source, and no advertising personalisation takes place: the corresponding consent signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) remain permanently set to “denied”.

Third-country transfer. Google also processes data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is additionally covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. We note that United States authorities may under certain conditions demand access to data under domestic law, and that legal protection comparable to that available under European law may not exist against such access.

Retention: usage data collected in Google Analytics is deleted automatically after 14 months.

Withdrawal. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal is unaffected. Google additionally offers a browser add-on to opt out.

5. No other cookies, no advertising networks

Beyond the analytics cookies described in section 4, this website sets no further cookies. No advertising networks, social media plugins or other tracking services are embedded. If you decline analytics, no cookie whatsoever is stored on your device; your decision itself is held only in your browser's local storage and is not transmitted to us.

Fonts are served locally from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font service, so your IP address is not transmitted to one.

6. TradingView price charts — only with your consent

Some analyses offer a price chart provided by TradingView Inc. (USA). That content is not loaded automatically. In its place you first see a placeholder with a button.

Only when you press that button is a connection made to TradingView's servers. Your IP address and technical details about your browser and device are then transmitted to TradingView; we have no influence over their further processing. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25(1) TDDDG.

Your consent applies to the current session only: it is recorded in your browser's sessionStorage and discarded when you close the browser. You may withdraw it at any time by loading the page without pressing the button, or by clearing your browser storage. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal is unaffected.

7. Contacting us by e-mail

If you write to us, we process what you send solely to deal with your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries. Correspondence is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention period applies.

We do not currently offer a newsletter. This website contains no forms.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to us:

• Access to the personal data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
• Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

A message to the address given above is sufficient to exercise any of these.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:

10. Status and changes

This policy reflects the position as at 16 Aug 2026. If the services we use change, we will amend it — before the change, not after.
